Shield Maximum Noise Control
Sound
Shield features strips of clear Vulene, a natural sound barrier,
and Johnston Environmental's exclusive Acoust-X sound absorption
material attached to each strip to contain noise at its source.
Used in an overlapping configuration, they combine to provide the
required weight per square foot for noise control at its best.
For additional advantages, transparency provides maximum safety
and supervision without causing a "closed-in" feeling for the operator.
Also, because it's an engineering control, the Johnston system works
automatically and places no burden on your employees to comply.
It's a far better approach than ear plugs or muffs, which employees
resist wearing and are unable to hear well when using.
Sound Shield can be used in virtually any configuration by attaching
it to a pipe frame built around the noise source.
Available in strips and 4' x 8' panels, Acoust-X is a flexible,
noncombustible 2"-thick compressed, aluminized, quilted fiberglass
material with a two pound per foot density. It provides an effective
sound absorption barrier to reduce noise to OSHA-approved levels.
Rated Class 1 flame spread and smoke development material per ASTM
E-84.
